Meet Yaw

To Live In H.O.P.E continues to support as many people as possible in Ghana, strengthening the communities by supporting sustained methods of economic growth. With you help these communities can continue to prosper by improving the lifestyles of individuals.

As with his farming counterparts in the area of Konkori, Yaw is struggling to support his family through his farming business, earning enough revenue to provide food and education to his five young children and wife. This, however, becomes increasingly difficult in the dry seasons, worsened in recent years due to the acceleration of the climate crisis. Not having any local water source, Yaw relies solely on natural rainfall to water his crops.

With your help, Yaw’s farming efforts can be greatly improved with the installation of a water pump to save time and energy of collecting water. It will also lead to year-round cultivation and harvesting, keeping a steady income and providing security for him and his family. For Yaw, long-term economic stability will allow him to cover his children’s education and contribute meaningfully to the development of his community, and further, the overall development of the sub-region.
