Sumillion Volunteer House

Our Mission

To provide a dedicated accommodation space for volunteers at To Live In H.O.P.E in Ghana

Work has begun on Sumillion House, our dedicated accommodation for volunteers with To Live In H.O.P.E, generously donated by Sumillion Ltd. Once completed it will provide educational space and accommodation for up to 70 volunteers in Ghana.

If you’re considering volunteering in Ghana, we’d highly recommend the experience. Ghana is a beautiful and safe country for tourists and volunteers and has an incredible mosaic of languages and cultures.

Volunteering with To Live In H.O.P.E gives you the opportunity to work on several development projects and experience everything Ghana has to offer. Getting directly involved is the best way to gain an understanding of what the project is, why it exists and the wonderful outcomes it will deliver.

All our projects are developed with local stakeholders, ensuring the work we do has a positive impact. Volunteering is hands-on, you get to meet the beneficiaries of our projects and work with knowledgeable staff who can give you great insight into the development sector. To Live In H.O.P.E have been running and developing volunteering trips since 2010, and the experience is very rewarding while the work is done with some amazing people.

Project Update #1

Exciting news everyone! The Sumillion House project is well underway, and we are thrilled to share the first stages of our amazing new volunteer house.

Our team has been hard at work to make this project a reality, we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from Sumillion Limited. We can’t wait for volunteers to come and experience the amazing culture and warmth of Ghana while making a real difference in the lives of local communities.

Project Update #2

We have some incredible progress to share with you all on the Sumillion House project! Our team has been working tirelessly to get the house ready for our amazing volunteers who will be joining us in Ghana in the next couple of months.

We are pleased to announce that we have completed the wooden structure of the first floor and are now in the process of reinforcing it with concrete.

However, we still need your support to make this thriving volunteer house a reality. Every little bit helps, and any contribution you can make will go towards helping us build the second floor and finish the house on time.

Project Update #3

We are thrilled to announce that the concrete casting process has commenced, marking a significant milestone as we construct the first-floor ceiling and second-storey floor.   This project goes beyond mere construction; it’s a transformative space where dedicated volunteers can actively contribute to our impactful To Live In H.O.P.E initiatives while immersing themselves in the rich and vibrant Ghanaian culture.
